The Kelso Hall committee is very pleased to announce that this is Kelso Hall’s tenth anniversary.
Over these ten years Kelso Hall has provided a venue for community events and a showcase for exceptional talent from the Chateauguay Valley and beyond. During this time, much work has been done to restore and preserve this beautiful and historically significant building, rescuing it from a state of serious disrepair.
Planning for the 2009 program of events at Kelso Hall is well underway. We’ll be introducing some great new talent this season as well as welcoming back some of the wonderful performers we’ve had at the hall in past years, and you can look forward to another season of exciting and varied events.
We are pleased that this year, once again, the hall will be host to at least one wedding. |
A calendar of events will be available mid-May and will be sent along with their receipt to all those making a donation. You will also be able to access the program on the Kelso Hall website: www.kelsohall.com and you can receive weekly notification of events if you supply us with your email address.
Last year, with the help of funding from donations and a grant from the municipality of Elgin, we were able to install an Envirolet composting toilet, an improvement which is consistent with Kelso Hall’s environmentally conscious policy. Among other projects, a sign was installed in front of the hall and we purchased a projector for the popular movie nights. Last year, for the first time, the newly renovated basement was available for use and it was possible for the monthly Country and Western musical evenings to be held in this bright and spacious room. |
