We've been producing maple syrup from our maple groves for over 100 years, definitely a tradition we're proud of.
Pure maple syrup is made by drilling a taphole in the sugar maple tree then placing a spout in the hole that drains the sap into a series of plastic tubing and pipeline.
A vacuum pump draws the sweet water to the sugarhouse where it passes through a reverse osmosis filter to concentrate the sugar. Then it is boiled in the evaporator to remove more water.
The steaming, liquid gold syrup is then filtered and canned for sale.
