Charles and Lois,
                          Happy 50th Anniversary
Knowing you has been like a kindly deed
A cup of hope to us in need.
Your tender gestures gives our fevered brows
a word of cheer that we are living now.
You have soothed the achings of our souls
and made us forget our body's woes.
O'Lord! If we are ever blue
make us thing of Charles and Lois and say:
                                   Thank You!

HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY

"I REMEMBER"

Dear Aunt Lois & Uncle Charles,

I remember all the good times spent at the Norton residence, times spent in the basement
with Phil working and playing with HO train projects. I remember the special fondue dinner
I was invited to stay over for. I remember going to the Butler Sympathy to watch and listen
to Uncle Charles play in the sympathy. I remember Phil and I taking the trek to the
Lutheran Home woods in search of the perfect pine log to make a Christmas candleholder for
our Moms. Unfortunately they did not turn out so good since the logs we chose had some type
of insects in them! I remember the trip to Ohiopyle and the picnic we had. I remember
Aunt Lois displaying my artwork on the refrigerator (Dinosaur). I remember Uncle Charles
making us put back up flyers of some sort that we had torn down from the telephone poles
in the neighborhood (not one of our brightest moments). I remember Phil breaking his collarbone
from a bicycle accident and being laid up in the front living room for some time. I remember
Uncle Charles practicing his golf putt with his practice putter in the front living room.
Even though these remembrances might seem little, it shows the impact of two special people
in my life during my growing up years. I can’t say enough on how kind, caring and loving you
both have been to our family over the years. I can say I’m deeply moved and appreciative
of your generosity and thoughtfulness over the year and I thank you both from the bottom of
my heart for all the things you have done for us. In remembrance of this special day,
I wish you both a very Happy 50th Anniversary!

Love,   Scott
